ATTICVS is a quality shop based in Berwick upon Tweed in the North of Northumberland. The shop is on the Northern side of the historic town of Berwick upon Tweed and serves local customers from both Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
The owners are Edward and Maria Chester. Edward was for many years a solicitor in the same town. Maria is a native of Argentina, and moved to the Borders area in 2003.
Formerly she has been an artist, an archaeologist and latterly a human resource business owner in Venezuela.
The owners decided after Edward retired from the law that there is a ideal opportunity to import and sell high class knitwear, leather goods, jewellery and other interesting items from South and Latin America.
The shop imports well over 90% of the goods sold direct from the country of origin, and in a number of cases from the actual creators.
All the knitwear is created from the Alpaca fleece, a warm and lightweight natural fibre that is a delight to wear.
The leather bags and belts from Argentina are of excellent design and made from the highest quality leather, and so are long lasting, decorative and unusual.
Semi precious stone necklaces and bracelets, some mounted with Alpaca Silver, from Peru, Brazil and Venezuela complement the cardigans and sweaters that are available from us.
